Wisdom

“We are not trying of find truth in the form of so many words or to find wisdom as some undefined quality. What we are trying to do is to become the path of truth ourselves, so that wherever we are, we recognize the presence of God; wherever we walk, we know we walk on holy ground. This is what we are trying to achieve on the path of ECK [ECKANKAR, The Path of Spiritual Freedom].”

—Harold Klemp, The Drumbeat of Time, Mahanta Transcripts, Book 10, Pg. 50

“In the spiritual works of ECK, we are looking for a higher permanence than the physical body and human history. Soul yearns to leave the limits of time and space that encompass the events of the earth. To leave behind the karma which binds us here, to gain liberation of Soul, to gain the attributes of God: wisdom, power, and freedom. But these are only the attributes, and they come after one has unfolded to God Consciousness. We start out as the child, ignorant of the laws of Spirit.”

—Harold Klemp, The Secret Teachings, Mahanta Transcripts, Book 3, Pg. 20

“The Living ECK Master of any era wants only to lead the individual to look within to the source of all knowledge, wisdom, and understanding: the place where one can move toward Self- and God-Realization.

But these are just words. I can stand here and say a lot of words about Self-Realization and God-Realization, but they will have no more meaning to you than when a minister stands in the pulpit and speaks of salvation by faith. It means nothing.

What sets ECKANKAR apart from other religious teachings is not only the Sound and the Light — which is shared in some measure by several other teachings — but the fact that we can reach the Kingdom of Heaven while still in the human body.”

—Harold Klemp, How to Find God, Mahanta Transcripts, Book 2, Pg. 117
